Virtual Machine's losing connectivity

Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help with an issue I have been having over the past couple of weeks.

 

We have a 3 node HyperV environment. I am having issues with some VM's on one of the nodes. The VM's lose connectivity sometimes. I have set a ping up on the VM's and they lose connectivity at different times to each other. Yet if I move the VMs to another node they are fine, the node itself does not lose connectivity at all.

 

I have checked the networking it appears to be the same as the other nodes. I am thinking it is a problem with one of the nicks that we have teamed, but would like other people opinions?

I didn't think nic teaming was supported in Server 2008 R2, which is why I've stuck away from it.

You ms have to turn this off, as I suspect you may be headed MS Support direction...

I just looked at the link, and this is the exact issue we are having.

 

I am thinking that I will have to remove the teamed nicks and test. Will this effect the other nodes as they are teamed?

No problem. I run a 3 node cluster as well.

 

I would suggest remove teaming completely from all nodes.

Before I do that, if I just remove teaming from one, will that cause any issues?

It may do, as this will change how your virtual network and virtual switch as set up
