Clonezilla and Truecrypt

Got a number of teacher laptops to image which need encrypting with Truecrypt. Is it possible to encrypt first and then take the image and deploy as this would save a lot of time?

Not sure if it is possible, but it's not really advisable since the encryption key would be the same on all of them.

Thanks. I was thinking more on the lines that Clonezilla would have a problem reading the data as it would appear corrupted but the key issue is good reason not to do it.
