Hi all,

Should it matter if i intall server 2008 r2 onto a consumer grade ssd,

the server will run hyper-v in a home test enviroment

only the host os would go on the ssd and then virtual machines on a seprate drive

if it goes to plan may have to look into getting a second drive, currently the spair ssd i have is only 60gb, i may be upgrading the raptordrive (10,000rpm) in my gaming pc so may put that into the hyper-v host for vm os' then vm data on a standard sata drive
