At least your TLD is short, the brain trust here decided to go with .school.nz which makes for some stupidly long addresses http://www.suberbestateroad.school.nz we ditched the stupidity and went with academic addresses comparatively short at .ac.nz so initials.ac.nz makes a whole lot more sense than everyone spending half an hour tapping out some stupid paragraph long email domain thanks to some idiotic legacy thinking by the peons that be's decree from 1994.

 

Efficiency is important and nice, you can't underestimate the importance of your email domain fitting on an average A4 sized sheet of paper without wrapping.
