Sanyo PLC-XE40 blue outline arround screen

Hi

 

I am having a problem with one of my PLC-XE40 Projectors. Its about 5 years old and there is a blue outline arround the outside of the projected image. The projector is at its native resolution of 1024*768 at 75Hz. Ive reset it to the factory settings and fiddled with the keystone but this has no effect on it. Ive attached two images to show you what i mean.

 

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Bad case of lens burn - not sure there's much you can do about it but to be frank it's rare they live that long for that to happen. Normally they die within a couple of years and need thermal switches resetting.

I agree. We have had the old ones go like this. We replaced them
