sonofsanta Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 (edited) When uploading an image with the fancy uploader (either quick reply or full mode, with the image button or the attachment dialog) I get this error as soon as I click upload: (Managed to upload this image by going to full reply mode, using the attachment button and the basic uploader there, previewing the post to get the URL then linking to that with an image tag. Dead smart, I am) FF15.01, no proxy. Edited October 23, 2012 by ZeroHour
ZeroHour Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Cant replicate it yet as it all works for me so far.
sonofsanta Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 Hmmm. I'll try again. Aye, still getting it, even after restarting FF... I'll see if I can pin it down anymore
sonofsanta Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 Firefox still broken. Hmmm. It's not AdBlock as that's disabled on edugeek.net, and there's no other extensions likely to cause an issue. Just me, it seems
DavidIrwin Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) Not just you. I have seen this as well. I had to resort to using the basic uploader which works ok. I have this problem on FF from our company network (behind TMG proxy server - not sure if that makes a difference?). Dave Edited October 17, 2012 by DavidIrwin

I have this problem on FF and IE9 from our company network (behind TMG proxy server - not sure if that makes a difference?). Dave If anything a proxy makes things better for me - my IE and Chrome are both proxied (smoothie), but my FF goes direct to the internet. Switching FF to go via proxy makes no odds though.

ZeroHour Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Hmm can you please try upload again just in case it was a server issue (I installed a batch of updates last night) One thing to note, the advanced uploader uses a stealth flash object to deal with the upload and I wonder if FF is not passing it through the proxy properly. EDIT: I have switched us to the ajax uploader to test that.
sonofsanta Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Looks good to me. My FF was never going through a proxy (the only one of my browsers that doesn't) so Lord only knows.
sonofsanta Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Just to check Attach Files in Advanced mode as well EDIT: Seems good to me, that's quick reply & advanced mode, image button & attachment button all working
ZeroHour Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 It sounds like it was a flash issue so I will leave the uploader in ajax mode for now. PNG images used to have an upload issue but only certain png images. 1
