Apache Service keeps stopping

Hi Guys,

 

Our Apache service keeeps stopping and we have to manually restart it. Is there a utility that we can use to force it restart instead of the stardard windows based restart feature which does not work.

I'm guessing that it is hanging rather than crashing and terminating as the Windows feature does work and you can set the three actions to restart with the reset at one minute. You could try scheduling a task to kill the process and restart it every so often or make a VBS script that keept checking to see if it could get the site, if not triggering a kill and restart of the process.

 

Have you tried updating the version of Apache or using something different like IIS with PHP installed, the web platform installer makes that easier now.

Where can I find this VBscript? will it check, similar to pinging a host to check if its alive?, if not then it will automatically restart it?
