Aegis 3 Advice

Evening all

 

Our Geography department had purchased Aegis 3 and the OS Mastermap module ages ago (before I started here) and now they are wanting to use it.

 

Now I may being thick, but I've got the MSI to deploy and it happily deploys with all the correct licence keys however, I can't find any maps anywhere and no one really knows how to use it. Can anyone point me in the right direction - are we supposed to have maps supplied and they have gone walkabouts somewhere else or are maps completely seperate from the OS Mastermap?

 

To be honest I haven't a clue and I don't think the Advisory Service website is the easiest to find your way arround either (probably because I don't know what I'm looking for). :/

@Cache: It is a while ago now since I worked on this but I can look at our network and how this was deployed to our stations and get back to you [bit too tired to do it tonight]

Thanks @DaveP , I'd appreciate it! (only reason I started looking at it again tonight was because I was patching SIMS again....)

@Cache: I have had a look at our network this morning. We have Aegis 2.0 [i said it had been a while since I looked at this]

 

Looking at our network everything is deployed to the workstation by the MSI. Here is are the screenshots for our MasterMap data:

This is actually the wrong path for us as we have Windows 7: 64 Bit so the path should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Advisory Unit\Aegis3\Samples\Mastermap\Buildings starter.aed etc.

 

I guess Geography haven't used Aegis in a while.

 

HTH as I am not familiar with Aegis and I had hoped that I could glean more from our network that I have actually been able to.

Thanks @DaveP it has helped. Found those files on our CD and have copied them across.

 

Funny you should say about your department, it's the same feedback I got from another school about GIS in general......
