rotwfighter Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Hi, I recently bought an APC back UPS for my PC. Here is the model https://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=BR1500 After plugging my computer into it and testing it with both positive results I decided to install the disc for it. When I clicked run an error popped up which said the following: The installer is unable to locate a supported APC backup battery connected to your computer. Please check your USB connections and try again. Now it's connected to my computer and provides power if the electricity goes out but this installer is claiming otherwise. Any help please? Btw, the APC site didn't help at all when I checked there. Thanks,
plexer Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Have you connected the usb cable between the ups and your pc? Without a data connection between the 2 the software won't be able to see the ups, power connection alone is not sufficient. Ben 2

I feel like an idiot now, thanks a lot for that, I'll try it now.
plexer Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Not a problem, there should be a thank post button if you feel like using it Ben 1
