midobashir Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Hello guys, I have a PC join my Domain Controllwe "but when im trying to install or to configure anything, the admin username and password does not pop up, and it says that i dont have sufficient privileges .. but when swicth the user to administrator i can do any, Any idea how to fix this ? Thanks

januttall Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) log in as administrator then do the installation, upgrades etc. i have noticed that there is a pop up on non dc connected machines for installing things from Standard user accounts but this does not seem work on domain computers. my advice witch is recommended anyway is to log out and back in as a domain admin do the work and log out and back in as a user. Your normal account does not have any administrator privileges by the sounds of things. if you are a proper admin then you will need to lift your privileges by adding your username the group Domain Admin in active directory.
