FN-GM Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Hi, This is probably a simply question but i cant get this to work properly. I am trying to deploy Adobe Reader. I have an MSP and an MST. I need to know how to do this in the command line. I have tried various things and cant get this to work. Can anyone help please? Thanks
Arthur Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) I use the method described here. Are you deploying it with SCCM? Edited August 29, 2012 by Arthur 1
FN-GM Posted August 29, 2012 Author Posted August 29, 2012 I am yes, I will give that a try, Thanks. What about other products with MSP and MST files please? Thanks
Arthur Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) Depends on the application in question, but I usually do an admin install of the MSI, patch it with the MSP(s), create the MST with InstEd and then deploy it e.g. msiexec /i example.msi transforms=example.mst /qn Edited August 29, 2012 by Arthur
k-strider Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 if you are doing it in GPO when you create a new app in Policies -> Software Settings -> Assigned applications then if you chose advanced after you pick the MSI before you close the dialogue box you can add an MST. once you close the dialogue box you cant add an MST
