Dos_Box Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 My younger brother is starting a uni course in a few weeks and want to tidy up his desktop PC. He wanted to borrow a large external USB HD drive from me with the intention of taking all of his old work and getting rid of any duplicates he found. I told him that you can get software that will scan your drive and do it for you. Taking a look today I found this article: Best Free Duplicate File Detector which lists quite a few options. All I want to know is, what, in your opinions, is the best to go for, either on or off that list?
penfold Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I need something similar, did you use of of these in the end?
bladedanny Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I've used this in the past, does the job nicely. Find and Remove Duplicate Files, Music, and Images - Duplicate File Detective
penfold Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Thanks, but I need something that is free as this is not for work.
