HTML Signature Wrapper

Currently we use Exclaimer mail disclaimers to wrap HTML Signatures around emails sent via Exchange.

 

What I am after is some software which can be put in as a smart host to do the same for our Zimbra Servers (Zimlets seem limited for this).

 

If possible I would like it to be able to look at which domain the email address is sent from and apply the appropriate signature

 

Anybody know of any software which can do this? windows or linux?

It's doable in Exchange 2010 using disclaimers. This is a native thing. But it does just add it to the bottom of the email, not underneath the top reply.

 

This is one of our transport rules:

 

Apply Rule to messages from users that are 'Inside the organization' and when the sender's 'customattribute1:staff'
'append' '


%%DisplayName%%

%%Title%%

Email: %%Email%%

Tel: 01873 813500

Fax: 01873 813550

' and fall-back to 'wrap' if unable to apply.

except when the Subject field contains 'RE:' or 'FW:' or 'FWD:'
or except when the Subject or message body contains 'https://folders.crickhowell-hs.powys.sch.uk/style/logo-black.png'
or except if the message type is 'Automatic reply'

 

This adds the signature to all New emails, but replies or forwards don't get the signature added.

 

 

 

We also add an external disclaimer to all emails going to external contacts:

This email and any attachments to it may be confidential and are intended solely for the use of the individual to whom it is addressed. Any views or opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Crickhowell High School or Powys County Council.

Please contact the sender if you believe you have received this email in error.

I'm after something to do it with Zimbra I'm afraid! Due to costs and the forthcoming dumping of exchange from the small business server edition of windows (called essentials) we are after cost effective alternatives the only last hurdle to cover is adding signatures.

Yeah I saw that but not 100% sure it does what I am trying to achieve. We want to be able to put a full HTML wrap around an email text adding an image to the top and then stamping the disclaimer at the bottom. If you see the example above - not just the text to the bottom.

Have read your post right now. I know it is long time ago but we also are looking for a solution to use Exclaimer or similar with Zimbra. Could you find a solution?

It was a long time ago - We gave up using Zimbra in the end however Exclaimer have changed the product set now - you have two options - Exclaimer Outlook Edition (if you are using Outlook) which has an agent on the machine and adds it to Outlook. Or the new Hosted Version which I am currently trialling for my office365 installation. You route all emails through them and they stamp the signature on it.

Yes - you may need to check they support using Zimbra in the hosted version (as it looks at the email from the break line).

 

Outlook edition works well with the Agent. Hosted so far is very good, although you need Exclaimer to create the signatures if they are not from one of there standard templates.

 

Any questions DM me and I can take a look - we work quite extensively with Exclaimer now since posting this originally.
