HP Officejet 6500A Plus - Duplex Scanning - see through

Hello everyone,

 

We have a HP Officejet 6500A Plus all in one. When we are scanning documents that are double sided, the results of the scan show that it has picked up text and images from the other side of the page. I have tried looking for some settings to see if it is possible to decrease the scanning light intensity, but have not found an option - am I missing something?

 

Has anyone else had the same issue with this and if so how did you go about solving it?
