Live@edu FIM Olsync move to new server

Rebuilding domain and need to rebuild the server for FIM and olsync.

How do I go about setting up FIM on the new domain? Can I just install and setup olsync as normal and then export and import the database for the old windows domain?

Or can I just use a new database that it adds when I install FIM ? If I do this it wont create duplicate users in the windows live domain?

 

Hope that makes sense. Any one who's done this before and give advice would be appreciated, thanks.
