KillKeys exist so that you can play games without having to worry about accidentally pressing the windows key. The keys essentially becomes dead keys.

This is the reason why KillKeys was created. Since then I have made it possible to specify any key you want. You can now configure KillKeys to block any key you wish.

Yes I read it but can't find what file to open, I tried all rhe files in killkeys program files, it open the page you told me but can't find any board where to disable keys....

It's really simple...

 

1. Lookup the value(s) for the key(s) you want to disable here. e.g. the Enter key is 0D.
   
2. Open KillKeys.ini, find the lines starting with Keys or Keys_Fullscreen and add the values you looked up in the previous step after the = symbol. Separate each value with a single space. Save the file.
   
3. Double-click KillKeys.exe. That's it!

Tested and working [kills Left Windows Key] on my laptop [O/S: Windows 7: Professional: 64 Bit: SP1]

Very clear, it works! Thx! The only problem now is that I can't find the key I'm looking. I want to disable ")]" key and when I try with the code (0xDD) the key is still not disabled (if it can change something my pc is asus acer with azerty and windows xp)

When I have experimented with the code for ")]" [entering 0xDD in KillKeys.ini] prevents the program from starting. I can tell that the program has not started because it is missing from the notification area:

I can't test for you any further because you are using XP and I am on Windows 7. However do check if the program is running before entering your new KillKeys.ini value and also check if it is running afterward [close and restart KillKeys for a proper test]

I tried without preceding 0x but it doesn't work better (for this key). Dave, I tried the test you explain, failure too (for this key). That's strang because it works with other keys (for example left arrow). Are the codes for each key different depending of the computer?

Have you edited and saved KillKeys.ini closed, and opened KillKeys?

Does the KillKeys icon appear in the notification area?

Can you post a copy of your KillKeys.ini?
