I`ve been given some timetable changes to do, quite a few staff are timetabled to support other members of staff, how do I assign 2 teachers to a class in T4?

Erm. Aren't you on T6 yet? That's the new way of doing timetabling.

 

Anyway I never seen to teacher entries for the same timetable slot. This casused us issues with Assessment manager a while back.

 

I think with the new Course Manager module in SIMS.net you assign secondary staff

but I am a guessing.

 

One other workaround might be to put the subsidary staff on the cover list for that slot. I know it's a cluge.

You should be on T6 as this has more features than T4...

 

The upgrades are free.. If you have maintenance...

You can use T6 and then import into T4 but eventually everyone will be using T6.

Have you got a satellite version of Sims on a laptop as this would make things a little easier to work in T6 and import to system T4. This is the way we have used it for a couple of years and it has worked very good. Our timetabler takes it home and works on the T6 and plans the timetable in peace without all the teachers giving him hell then imports it into our systems T4.

 

I know other schools do things a little differently but it has worked for us.
