CatherineMay Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Hi, This is my first time using Profiles. Is it possible to record an attainment grade (ie for lower school 7a, 8b; for upper school a grade A* etc) for a student in Profiles and link to an Aspect in Assessment Manager automatically? Or should I make a template for the attainment grade and get staff to record there and linked the Aspect to Profiles?
DeeGee Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 You can bring assessment data into Profiles from Assessment Manager, but I don't believe that it is possible the other way around. You will need to ask staff to input grades in AM and then link the results automatically in Profiles. 1
CatherineMay Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 I thought so, but wouldn't it be great if you could enter attainment on the same page at comments for reports? Thanks your help.
Sivadam Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) As part of our process we demand that Teachers type in the current Levels or Grades etc. This ensures that the Comments are linked to a 'current' assessment. Our Profiles reports go out at a different time to the individual AM7 data reports that feed from AM7 Data Collection Marksheets. i.e. the actual Levels/Grades will have changed from the previous DC and will, no doubt, change again for the next one! This is by design! There is an 'incomplete' statement within the comment bank and the staff simply have to complete that statement with the Level/Grade (as well as including other relevant comments!). It certainly helps to focus the mind to rationalise the comments to the assesment! Edited May 2, 2012 by Sivadam 1
