Not knowing that much about Android/Android tablets....is it possible to set them up so different users can 'log on' to have and have different apps on eachs desktop and use different Gmail address etc? I'm guessing not as a google search has not turned up anything promising. Oh, the devices are Android 3.0, Honeycomb.

No. (Prepared to be proved wrong). This comes up constantly with our SMT here, and I have to keep reminding them that iPads, Android tablets etc are Personal Mobile Devices, and do not have the facility for multiple distinct user accounts. Mostly, they just don't get it.

No, sadly not... You can add different Gmail accounts, so if all users had their own they could quickly re-install their apps, but it's definitely not the same as having different user accounts like on PCs...

Indeed.. however, there seem to be some major potential issues there (according to the details on the links), and I guess warranty becomes a problem if it's rooted as well?

I was waiting for Windows ARM tablets, but apparently you can't add them to the domain, so almost useless. Chromebooks have multiple users, sync AD to Google Apps for education, or use SSO
