mo_vigilante Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Hi, I've setup Outlook Anywhere for Exchange 2007 SP3 for staff and staff are able to log in to their emails at home and on the network. However, I've ran into a small problem which is when the staff log in at home via Outlook Anywhere, they can't query the GAL and returns the message unable to connect to Exchange. The GAL is all ok, staff can query this internal, via VPN, and also via webmail - just not with Outlook Anywhere with Outlook 2007. Anything that anyone can suggest? The profiles stored on the staff machines are on cached mode which may be by default when initial setup. Thanks. Mo
sukh Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 While Outlook is running, click the CTRL key and then right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray and then select Test Email Autoconfiguration. When the tool opens, please tick "use AutoDiscover" and leave the other two unchecked. Confirm that your email address is in the address field, then click the test button. Once it runs, please check the "Results",you can see the OAB url, please check whether it is correct. 1
mo_vigilante Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Hi Sukh, Thanks for your reply - sorted this now! I re-created the profiles again and ensured all items were cached. I think not everything got cached and when it queried the GAL, it was trying to contact the server. Anyway all sorted now. Thanks.
