Hi

Implementation was not too bad. Is this a senior or prep school? We did both. didnt bring over exam entries though - just started new year on new system. We converted from Pass. Put all the pupil and contact info onto spreadsheets and iSAMS set up all the data. Got to import your timetable - depend on how complicated that is. Ours is only a 1 week timetable. Please ask if there is anything you need to know. My email address is [email protected]

Hello there,

I saw in an old post of yours (2012) that you had migrated your school's data into iSAMS and found it a painless process. I hope you don't mind my asking you about it.

We're in the process of migrating our data into iSAMS and the process has been far from painless. They've had numerous attempts at loading the data, starting back in April, and each time they make a mess of it. It seems to me, they're trying to use a new mechanism which hasn't really been tested yet.

Can I ask you - when you did it, did they present you with about 20 blank Excel workbooks (consisting of about 150 separate sheets) and ask you to fill them in with your data? After an awful lot of work, we managed to fill about 70 of the sheets, and this seems to have taken them by surprise - they don't know how to process them.

My belief is that these are new and un-tested. Can you confirm whether they were around when you did it?

Regards,

John Winters
