Exchange OWA URL redirection problem.

I am trying to setup a URL redirect in ISA 2006 for our exchange OWA.

Currently we have one URL for internal OWA which is HTTP and another URL for external, which is HTTPS.

The external address isn't available inside the network.

What I would like to be able to do is setup a URL redirect so I only need to give staff one URL to use, so that externally all works as it should and internally they get redirected to the internal HTTP URL, is this possible?

I have setup a test URL redirect with ISA 2006 and this works fine, but that's only using HTTP, so I'm sure the fact the external site it HTTPS is the problem.

Is there another way of doing this?

Split DNS, you need to setup the external domain name on your internal DNS pointing to the exchange server or ISA internal interface. Just make sure your ISA listener is running on external and internal interfaces.

Also depending on the version of exchange you have, you may need to create an externally signed certificate.
