ful56_uk Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Hi We use Gpp to deploy printers but no matter what I do the local adobe PDF is always set to default. I've ticked the box in Gpp for the printer i want to be the default but it doesn't seem to work. I've also got loop back set to merge too. Any ideas?
TheMinister Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Does the Group Policy deploy? Does the computer in question get the deployed printer and works properly?
ful56_uk Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 Yes it deploys and yes the printer works fine on the computer but it never gets set as default
ihaveaproblem Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 In your GPP GPO set it to delete the adobe pdf printer, or do you need it?
ful56_uk Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 We need to PDF printer. I don't understand why it default to that when the one I've installed using gpp have the tick saying make default
Cache Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 I can't look at our policy at the moment, but I'm pretty sure there's a tick box that says only if local doesn't exist - you haven't got that ticked have you? Alternatively, the PDF printer could be adding/creating it's self after the user has logged on and Group Policy has done it's printer deployment, therefore trumping the gpo settings of default printer? (What PDF printer is it?)
