Mac not getting active directory home drive

Hi, I am trying to add our first mac to our RM cc4 network.

I have added the system via System Preferences>Login Options>Directory Utility.

 

The system has been successfully added to the rm domain and is showing as green.

I have checked that in the Directory Utility, for advanced options, I have ensured that the following are checked:

 

Force local home directory on startup disk

Use UNC path from Active Directory to derive network home location

Network protocol to be used "smb"

Default user shell: "/bin/bash"

 

I am able to log on as any CC4 user with no problems, but I don't seem to be getting the home drive. If I open finder, the only share I do seem to get is root access to the cc4 server, and access to every share it has, meaning I can browse to everyones home drive, which is not too secure.

 

Any advice would be really helpful for me

Is the home folder mapped on the account properties of each individual user account in AD?

Hello yes it is. That is what has confused me!

Ah not what i thought, i have seen this issue and it turns out some people where happing the home folder by a login script.

This option turns off AD home folders and uses the local drive (unsurprisingly)!

Ahhh, thanks that seems to have done the job.

Now I have re-read it, it makes perfect sense. Silly me

 

Is there any way, I can stop the set up iCloud box from appearing each time a user logs in?
