robbie-w Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 We have created our guest ssid and tagged it with vlan 150 on the ruckus system We have applied the config to our 3com 5500G switch(original 3com). Yet when you give the laptop a static ip it cannot ping the vlan interface. Any idea what is wrong? interface Vlan-interface150 ip address 192.168.167.254 255.255.248.0 # vlan 150 # Switch port interface GigabitEthernet2/0/20 stp edged-port enable port link-type trunk port trunk permit vlan 1 150 broadcast-suppression pps 1488000 undo jumboframe enable apply qos-profile default #
Brig Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 The above configuration is fine. Are you using a ZoneDirector to manage the wireless network? something you may have missed when you set up the Guest SSID. Did you select 'Guest access' as the type? doing so automatically fully isolates the SSID users from the rest of the network, therefore you'd be unable to ping the VLAN interface, only the ZoneDirector itself.
