Exchange 2010 - Questions - calendar sharing and room booking

Hi Guys,

Sorry this is probably really basic but exchange 2010. How do i create a shared calendar that everyone has automatically in their calendars. Basically so i don't have to send an email to all the accounts sharing the calendar?

On another point, does anyone use exchange room mailboxes for ICT room bookings? Is it possibly to make it so staff can make a booking straight away by clicking on the room calendar? Rather than having to send an email? Debating the best way of doing it.

Thanks :)

You can't realy do that with a few clicks , for a shared calendar either use a PF calender or SP, which would be easier.

Or create a shared mailbox and sare it out so everyone has access to it, by default they should be able to see free/busy anyway.

Sounds like you want it for all, if yes, use a PF calendar.

It's basically for one person to edit but to show to the whole school. E.g. When inset days are, holidays, meetings etc. Sorry still new to it what is a PF or SP calendar?

Thanks

Exchange 2010 has the capability to have "Room based" mailboxes to use for resource booking supposedly, but Ive never tried it or seen it in action. Id take a look over on TechNet documentation for this, if I find anything in my noseyings - Ill post back.
