Gaming Laptop Advice

Been looking at a gaming laptop for better half now basically 3 games which must run (Diablo 3, Skyrim, portal 2) based on specs this laptop should run them -http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-055-MS&groupid=959&catid=1828&subcat=

 

However based on peoples experience of games how well will the 3 games run on the above spec. I just want to get some real life experience etc..

Been looking and might change mind and go with desktop I am thinking (Battlefield War Rush Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30GHz @ 4.40GHz DDR3 Limited Edition Quad Core System []) as long as up the graphics card to ATI 6770.

 

Again views on performance from people played of either of the 3 games.

Absolutely no reason why it shouldn't handle all 3 of those without a problem, it has a decent graphics chipset and subsystem and frankly that's not actually a bad price. I peered into this thread to say "don't be daft, buy a gaming desktop and spend half the change on a decent standard laptop and the rest on a holiday" but really can't fault that one.

Again not a bad desktop system, 6770 is a rebadged 5770 (I have one of these on a Q6600) and it plays Skyrim and Portal 2 without a problem, Diablo shouldn't be a problem either, especially on that CPU.

I'd suggest ramping up the memory as it is absolutely pennies currently.

There has been a Dell XPS deal posted on hotukdeals for a week or so now, worth a look.

 

There has been many different Dell XPS deals appearing on there, so I would keep an eye out. There was one reduced from £900+ to around £500+, was very tempted with my impulse buying nature, but my bank balance stopped that dead
