Bluetooth mono headset

I watch/listen using my 'droid phone as a media player in bed but often end up pulling the phone over using a wired earphone (I just plug one earpiece into one ear).

 

I'm looking for a mono earpiece that handles video audio (not just phone call audio) - my old BT earpieces (>5 years old) don't do this - does anyone know if all modern cheap ones do (or recommend one they know that works)?
