Sam_Brown Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Morning all, Seen a thread on A2C already but this one is slightly different and I'm stuck right at the start! Need to put in the locations of the EDI Inbox \ Outbox and Archived folders. Does anyone know where these would normally be located or how I can find out what they are currently set to? Hopefully an easy one but exams is something I've not really dealt with too much in the past. Thanks in advance,
GNewnham Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 It depends where your current MIS is putting the files when they are created or where your current carrier is look for them when you wish to send them. I use a stand alone laptop for RM securenet and it has those folders on my laptop (configured in securenet). What carrier are you using? I would look at its settings and see where it looks for the files to be transmitted (Output) and where it puts your incoming files (Input) Hope this helps.

Sam_Brown Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 Thanks for that. I am assuming the "holding box" directory is the "archive" directory the A2C app is talking about :/

Sivadam Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 We have our own Inbox, Outbox, Inbox Archive and Outbox Archive folders that we always download to and from. Then we manually copy the files into the Exam In/Out boxes in SIMS. That way we have an exact copy of each original file, just in case they get corrupted during the exam processes. That used to happen a lot some years ago!
