live@edu AD sync and distribution groups

I've got olsync to sync user accounts and passwords, all works fine.

Has anyone had success getting it to sync security groups and create them as distribution groups and add the members?

Yes. It was a while back couldn't get it working. I found that live@edu really couldn't easily integrate into an MS environment.

Worked first time with google apps- which also has way more features. Give it a try before you deploy!

Yeh it could be easier than it is, but still good and going to use Have it syncing passwords and creating user accounts, so that's the main thing. Would just be nice if I could get this working as well.

I do find it odd that Google Apps is so much easier to synch with Ad than Live@edu.

 

We use Live@edu for staff but due to sheer numbers we use google apps for the students.
