Looking for Design software?

Hello,

 

We are about to create a new Design area of the school complete with new imacs and nice new IWBs.

 

The Design leader would also like some software that allows students to design kitchens and gardens. has anyone used software like this on a Mac.

 

Also what other design software are people using?

been looking at Google sketch up , the Pro version is free to education in the US i wonder if the same applys to the UK?

 

i am also looking for animation software.
