pipbud Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Just started in a school but have decent background in MIS. Needing to get into SIMS, specifically how to list last year's GCSE results alongside their progress checks as they went through the year approaching the exam ie to explore how initial target relates to final result. They're live pupils, now in Y12, but they were Y11 in the relevant timeframe. Any ideas anyone? Feel like I'm discovering the contents of a large room whilst wearing a blindfold. Never mind, it'll all come right....
LosOjos Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Welcome to EduGeek The way this data is stored will vary from school to school, but assuming that your school has been taking progress checks in assessment manager (the area of SIMS specifically for this task) and are using the SIMS Exams module, then you'll be able to achieve this in Assessment Manager. Have you registered at SupportNet? Have a look on there for the Assessment Manager handbook, book yourself on some training if you can and you'll be well on your way Sorry I can't be more specific, but it really does vary greatly from school to school! 1
Sivadam Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I support everything that LosOjos has said above. However, surely there is somebody in the school that knows more about the school's systems and can help initially?
pipbud Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 There is.. but they're stowed off with other things at the moment. Just looking to do some self-teaching. Waiting for my Support Net to come through now.
