vlan problem wiht internet

I have an issue with internet being shared on vlans, i configured PCs with gateway ip of the vlan and dns the internet router ip. I can only access internet if PC is on same vlan1 as internet router, internet router ip is 192.168.168.2 on vlan 1 , can someone help please?

Your internet router needs to be aware of the subnets that sit behind your switch. Endpoints that exist on Vlan 1 are able to communicate with the internet as they share the same network subnet (192.168.168.0/24) as your internet router device.

 

An entry needs to be created on the internet router that states that all traffic destined for the 192.168.0.0/24 (Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0) network needs to be directed to 192.168.168.1.

 

Once you complete the above step and possibly restart, you should see traffic between vlan 2 and the internet.
