TheScarfedOne Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Hi All Been a while since I actually put a question in...but here we go.. AB Tutor v6. Got the Client installed fine by using the HTA MSI Editor as per their website, and pushed out by SCCM. Doing the same with the Tutor bit - but getting the following error... Product: AB Tutor Control v6 -- Error 4121. Invalid Firewall process image path, or file not found: . Machines are Window 7 Ent SP1. Nothing special about them really. Vanilla Setup. Stuart
ricki Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Hi I have had no issues. We downloaded the software and the mst creator. We ran the mst creator and put in our settings and this then created a client.msi which just works. We depoy it through gpo. Richard
AngryTechnician Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I have never seen that Windows Installer error before. Also had no problems installing ABTutor 6 here. Do you get the same error when installing manually using the same transforms?
TheScarfedOne Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 This version doesnt use transforms - the tool on their website faffs with the MSI, creating a new one with the appropriate edits in it AFAIK. Its a very odd error - Ive sent it over to support as well. The only thing I can think is that the Client is already on these machines - but even then, the error doesnt make sense. Ive also tried the -qn direct switch on the MSI via script. Same thing. Its as if there is something wrong with the editted MSI. I cant see what tho.
