tech_guy Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 (edited) We had an office PC that picked up some nasties in a drive-by whilst a user was browsing legit websites. Obviously one of the websites was compromised. We scanned the PC and removed a few low-level Trojans. Out of interest I installed the 30-day trial of Emisoft AntiMalware and a deep scan is reporting that C:\Program Files\Sims\Sims.Net\CESExamsEXW684.dll is infected with the Backdoor!E2 trojan. Has anyone else seen this? Edited November 17, 2011 by tech_guy
matt40k Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 False Positive I would guess. Still if Capita actually signed they're DLL etc like they do the installer, you could be 100% sure by checking the digital signature - personally, it's just lazy, they've spend the damm money already getting a Verisign code signing certificate, maybe they're worried about the amount of data will appear in there MS account
