Projector rs232 control

Does anyone know of projectors other than the Hitachi projectors that have free RS232 control software available?

 

Our school is finally beginning to look into installing classroom projectors, and the staff wants to control the projector from their computer (clicking an icon to select VGA or Video 1 input, making volume control changes, etc)

 

I am just wondering if there are any other options out there. Remote controls always got lost/stolen/broken here, so that is not a good option.

we have been looking into control systems here like procon and extron, although not free (£600 for the top end ones) they are well worth looking into.
