Qegs Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Greetings all, I am currently attempting to setup a WebDAV service on a test server, using Windows Server 2008 w/ IIS 7. Over a https:// connection. I have got as far as being able to connect to the webdav folders and viewing all of the contents, by mapping the drive. But when ever I try to open a Microsoft Document (word, excel, etc..) I keep getting this message pop up Might I also add that the file opens up but won't save. I have a feeling its permissions related but i'm not sure where to look? also I am logged on as admin when trying this so there shouldn't be any permissions problems surely? Has anyone come across this before?
Qegs Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 Just an Update: I have now found that Windows Xp Client Machines, are able to access the WebDAV file and open/save the work. Also anyone that is struggling with this and mapping network drives over https, I don't think it can be done. The only way I've been able to get that to work is by going to: My Network Places > Add New Network Place then putting the correct details in there. This then creates a networked folder in My Network Places
