magicbharat Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Hi, I'm trying to connect Igel-332 thin client to windows sever-2008 R2 through RDP. I realised that its not possible! So I'm wondering if there is any chance to update the firmware to the latest version and try connecting through RDP?
kmount Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 What problem are you experiencing when trying? I suspect you will need to disable the encryption on the RDP Layer from the server side as being quite an old unit I doubt it is capable of this. There may be some firmware upgrades available, worth contacting support.

I found out that RDP version installed in thin client doesnt support to Sever 2008. I tried to update the firmware but no use, there is some kind of problem with .opt file and one of my thin clients has been corrupted becuase of that. All I wanted to know is that, if I update the firmware for Igel-332 to version 3.06.315 (which is only the upddated version for that client) would it work for Server 2008? Or is there any other possibilities to make it work with the server.
kmount Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Specifically what is the problem with it when you use it with 2008? Is it a poor cursor / graphics experience or will it not connect due to security or what?
magicbharat Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Hi kamount, some how I have updated the firmware..... thanks for your support And is there any way to update only the RDP app in the thin client without installing whole firmware?
