creese Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Anyone know anything about NovaP or alternatives? A school wants to use for Parent's evening.
Brucy Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 We use it but I don't like it, it's not very intuitive (in my opinion) and not the easiest to use. For example you can't manually schedule an appointment as far as i can tell, and you can't lock previously made appointments - so when you have the late person arrive (after you've made the appointments and sent out the letters) asking for slots you have to do it manually because if you run the algorithm again it will move existing appointments around to fit others in. It has been a few months since i used it, but i'm pretty sure they are the problems i've come up against! However it will get the job done, you just need to be aware of the above. 1

Makes sense to go with something that is still active and being developed, i think Nova-P is defunct isnt it. 1

Capita are sending a patch to activate it, so not defunct. Maybe they will change their minds once they start using it.
vikpaw Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Does it start with Siva and end with Damn! I've only ever heard of people having trouble, but it may do just what is needed, it can't harm to look around though. There was another company mentioned previously but i can't think what it was.
