Why do printers show up as using Letter instead A4

not a real proble but practically everytime I install a printer - in printer properties it shows paper available=Letter but then when I go into all the device settings etc I can find no mention of Letter and everthing is set to A4.

Ok - found it in Device Settings but I'm sure I've had this before and couldn't find where it was set

 

Never mind - its is Saturday tomorrow???
