Field based tech engineer - needs SIMS technical knowledge and 2008 R2

Technical Consultant required for large public sector plc managed services ICT company. You will be responsible for software and hardware installations on the east of London/Havering/Brentwood/Thurrock/Essex and occasionally beyond. Supporting a number of technologies you will have to be a quick learner, have a wide range of experience and be a self-starter. Clients are predominately schools and authorities and the work includes consultancy, hardware configuration, software upgrades and installations. MCP/MCSE and MCSA would be advantageous but knowledge of educational systems like sims, fms, cmis, cc3, cc4 and ranger are essential. Having a strong knowledge of installing SQL server (ideally 2008) and windows server 2008 R2 is essential. ( You will of course know Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, XP, TCP/IP etc)

Field based technicians must have their own vehicle and be willing to travel, there is a generous petrol allowance and hire cars available for work outside usual commuting distance
