Jordan Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 We are currently in the process of getting a lot of new desktop machines in, and we have a lot of old machines to recycle. The machines are not old only between 3-5 years and I was looking for companies that will take the machines away and we can make a profit out of them. We have roughly 200-300 machines that we are getting rid of; some Optiplex 620 and 755 with reasonable specifications. I'm looking for a good company to recycle these machines , we could go down the route of putting them on eBay but that would be a massive headache. Does anyone have any past experiences with any companies which they have used? We are based in London if this is any help. Many Thanks,
Millgate Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Hi Jordan, We can buy these off you. We partner with a company who specialize in buying old school equipment. If you send me over a list of what you have, i'll put some prices together for you. Cheers Luke
Jordan Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 Hi Luke, We already have a quote from Millgate from Andrew Smith. Thanks,
dgsmith Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Dell 755s? These will be core 2 machines right? Makes me wonder why we can only barely afford refurbished 745s when you're able to offload 755s! Pity you're all the way down the other end of the country though Tier1online may be a good bet too - they buy machines in quantity for resale (especially the quantity you're looking at offloading).
AngryTechnician Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Our bursar passed me an email from Recycled ICT last month. Haven't used them myself but if you get a quote I'd be interested how they fared.
