New to Linux

Hi, I'm fairly new to Linux, just wondered if it was possible to create a dual boot partition for Windows and RH Linux on a RAID 0 drive and if it is possible are there any guides?

If it's a genuine hardware RAID (not a cheap onboard job) then it will be fine, the RHEL should resize the drive for you. If you have a cheap raid card where the raid is done through the CPU then the 2.6 kernel does not support these RAID (because the linux builtin software raid is better) and the RHEL installation will not recognise the raid 0 device and will try and repartition one of the drives.

I booted into the Linux installation and it did not detect the RAID, I wondered if I had to install third party drivers like in the Windows installation.

 

The raid is a hardware RAID using NVRaid. The board is a Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939

Sounds like it's a software (fake-raid). My instinct would be to install onto either a septate disk or remove the raid. A quick search did find some info, I'm not sure how this relates to Centos/RHEL.
