Hi,

 

Is there a way to enter information on all the computers at once? I work in a computer lab and there are 52 computers. I have to enter password info into each one, one by one. I hit broadcast button today on accident and it entered all the passwords, but when I clicked out of broadcast it deleted all of them. It would sure be efficient if I could enter all of them at once. Thanks!

Are you referring to the password necessary to for connection to the teacher computer? Please clarify. If it is that password, the has is saved in the student SyncClient.ini.

how do you mean...passwords to log into the PCs or to use the synchroneyes program?

sorry I wasn't clear. No, I meant programs that are installed on the 52 work stations. we have two programs that the students use. I have to log into each program and sign in.

 

For example let's say I have MSWord installed on all 52 computers with a password to open it. I have to sit there and control each computer separately to open word and put in the password and username 52 times. Then let's say another that is needed and it's password protected. I have to control each computer again and enter in the log-in information 52 times again. Is there a way to control all 52 computers at once?

 

I realized yesterday that broadcast just allows me to broadcast my computer screen to the 52 computers.

hmm...perhaps a vbs script or something....say when the administrator account logs in, all passwords are deactivated....

nephilim, Thanks for that suggestion. However, that wouldn't work. The process works like this, at 8am I enter all the user names and passwords on the 52 computers, but I do not press enter after I have done it. So basically you see a program that is open with the user name and passwords filled in, but when the students start coming into the lab, a student worker seats them, explains the rules, THEN the student worker hits enter and the program starts and the student worker navigates to the correct part of the program that the student needs. Student workers do not know the passwords. We do need the computers password protected so the students won't get ahead of themselves and just start taking tests. I only need to control all 52 computers in the morning when I first go in.

Not really doable no...I tried on a bk network with no luck.
