Lightbox Moodle Modification help

I want to Add a image, the first thumbnail from the lightbox gallery plugin that it generates to the top/side of the link that is generated within the module, im not sure where to start looking in the code, any ideas?

 

want to make it more interesting than just a text link to the plugin, i know i can add one manually but id like to have lightbox create it for me.
