Welcome to the ICT Swap Shop for Northamptonshire and the EMBC Area.

 

The idea of this forum is to provide schools with a place to recycle their unwanted ICT goods. You may already be aware of Freegle or Freecycle, and we will work on the same lines.

 

GUIDELINES:

 

Select a prefix (see above the edit pane) appropriate to your post you are offering for free, for sale, or wanting particular items.

 

Please provide as much detail about the item, location (but this is a public forum, please do not provide information that will identify you publicly) and if you are giving it away to a good home, or want something in return whether its a swap for services or other hardware, or money.

 

For instance:

 

[OFFER] 5 x Computer Base Units - Wellingborough

(then in the post detail itself)

 

"We have for offer 5 computer base units with no monitors, keyboards or mice. They are Celeron 2.6Ghz with 512mb RAM, CD drives and are in full working order. They are free to a good school! They will be sent for recycling in mid August if noone wants them. Collection only please"

 

When an item is taken, please update the SAME thread with

 

[TAKEN] - All 5 units have now been taken.

You can be as informal as friendly as you like. We are all schools having the same difficulties with budgets so hopefully we can all help eachother out. Perhaps you might like to offer an incentive such as a training session on a VLE you have in place for someone who is looking at doing the same thing.

 

If you would like to partake in this venture, please register on Edugeek and private message me your email address. I will then add you to a mailing list, so when people post their need or offer of an item on here, you will be notified. You may not be able to private message straight away, in this case please post in this thread and I will contact you directly.
