Iplayer enable java script error

HI

 

On Friday I have started getting a few complaints from all over the school complaining that iplayer will not work with the error that Java is not enabled.

 

I have checked the setting and it is.

 

I have been reading on the internet on the microsoft site that it may be due to a windows update.

 

Windows updates have been coming out over the last couple of days.

 

Has anyone got an idea which update may be causing this or have another solution.

 

We have checked that java is installed and enabled

 

Flash is installed.

 

IE8 has been reinstalled.

We have fixed the problem any one else having the issue you need to change the Group policy settings for compatibiaty mode

User Configuration>Administrive Templates>Windows Components>Internet Explorer>Compatibilaty View>

Turn off compatibialty view: Enabled

Use policy list of internet explorer 7 sites: Enabled

Include updated list of sites from microsoft: Enabled

 

Hope this helps any one with the same issue

We had to add BBC.CO.UK and Channel4.com both were having the same issue

they are added under "Use policy list of internet explorer 7 sites:"

by clicking show next to list of sites.
