Access subscribed sites at home

My university has access to some of the websites (Journal, news etc..) which it has subscribed to, some of those are very expensive even for personal subscription. I will be needing to use these websites at home as well. Is it possible by any means to access these websites at my home.

P.s- The university internet is behind a proxy server

Usually you need a login to access such sites and, once you are logged in, it doesn't matter where you are in the world. If the information you require is on the uni's intranet, you will need to access that from home. Either way, with the correct login information the answer is yes.

 

If the sites are only accessible through 'permanently' logged in PCs in the uni library because the uni won't give students the logins, then I'm afraid you'll need to spend more time on campus.

Generally these types of external journal sites are accessible via a service called Athens... Ask your librarian about it as different Unis sometimes deal with this differently

I can concur with this, Athens is one of the front end authentication modules which most Universities use for access to personal learning documents and research materials.
