Liam Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I have teamed two intel NICs up in order to help with load balancing. Yesterday one of my servers very inconveniently give up which meant i was left with only 1 DC. I am trying to promote my server with the teamed NICs but its erroring with DHCP faults during DNS registration. Is it possible to get around this.

iMash Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Is the IP address for the team assigned statically or via DCHP? Also was the server that died holding any of the FSMO roles? If so try seizing them to your functioning DC before promoting the new server.
