sted Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Ive been asked to look into forefront for antivirus rather than sophos/nod we usually use I seem to be having nothing but issues even trying to get it going (in a nutshell i cant) So as far as i can see it needs sql svr2008 (non express) and sccm (neither of which ive ever had any call to use) Ive set up a vm installed 08r2 base and updated etc ive installed sql 08 and patched to sp2 (pretty much went with default options) That diddnt seem to do much it just complains when i try and install sccm that it cant connect to the mssqlserver instance so currently im installiung a new instance sccm07 i know i need wsus / bits/iis bits ticked i got further than this with sql express but then forefront just wouldnt install anyone got a good guide or at least a few tips as its driving me up the wall all software atm is 180 day trial

zag Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 yeh good luck! I gave up, installing sccm was a nightmare. I was going to give it another go when 2010 is released.
